Edgeware was recently named as a finalist for a distinguished European technology award. In addition, the company’s video distribution system, Convoy VDN, has been named as a finalist for the Society for Broadband Professionals’ (SCTE) 2012 Technology Innovation Awards. Edgeware’s Convoy VDN was one of three solutions named as a finalist for the ‘Best broadband network transmission solution’ category. Cortado continues to expand its reach in the Post-PC era and addresses the trend of consumerization of IT and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) challenges. Cortado is also working with VisiTech PR planning for the arrival of a key development of Cortado Corporate Server in May. Mosaik Solutions, formerly American Roamer, unveiled its new corporate name and international capabilities at Mobile World Congress 2012. As the company continues to grow, you can expect more exciting announcements in Q2. This year has been very exciting for Net Insight, with an award won for Best Broadband Network Transmission Solution' category of the SCTE Technological Innovation Awards 2012 - one of the industry’s most prestigious awards as it is voted by peers. Aurora Networks continues to address the needs of the cable industry and recently displayed its leading optical transport solutions at the largest broadcasting technology and equipment expo in Asia-Pacific, CCBN 2012. Fraunhofer IIS launched its Full-HD Voice technology at Mobile World Congress 2012. Full-HD Voice codec gives access to the full audible audio spectrum available, offering more than four times the audio bandwidth of regular phone calls and at least twice the bandwidth of HD Voice services. The Fraunhofer Digital Cinema Alliance, a collaborative effort of four Fraunhofer Institutes, launched and demonstrated some of the most recent innovations in moving picture and broadcasting technologies at NAB 2012.
