Cortado Simplifies ThinPrint Licensing Model for Channel Partners and Customers
Cortado makes work for ThinPrint channel partners easier with solely user-based licenses and a clearer product policy
(Berlin/Denver, 28 February 2014) Cortado, globally leading expert for print optimization with its solution ThinPrint, has fundamentally revised its licensing model with the new ThinPrint version 10. Cortado now requires only user-based licenses for the ThinPrint Engine. Server licenses have been phased out and Cortado’s Host Integration Service, Print Management Center, and Connected Gateway have been integrated into the premium version. This restructuring has made quote preparation radically more simple for channel partners. In addition to standard and premium licenses, an annual, user-based rental model is offered too. Additionally an annual, user-based rental model is offered. Most important, the benefits of ThinPrint can now be enjoyed in any environment without additional costs. Thus, users who have only used ThinPrint in their terminal server session can now enjoy the benefits of the V-Layer with their local Windows, too.
“With our new licensing model, we are significantly simplifying the work for our channel partners. All they need to know for their quote is the number of users, whether our premium functions are needed, and whether the customer wants to buy or rent,” said Dirk Löwenberg, sales director at Cortado. “This allows our partners to complete their projects faster and more efficiently.”
In addition to the licensing model, license management has also been greatly simplified. In the new ThinPrint Engine 10, all licenses are activated and managed conveniently through a central license server. Thanks to a clearly laid out HTML5 management console, IT officers have all important license information at their fingertips anytime and anywhere – whether it’s the number of currently assigned or free licenses or upcoming expiration dates for licenses.
Another benefit of the new licensing for ThinPrint customers is that they can use as many servers as they like without affecting the price of the ThinPrint licensing and without the added effort of managing licenses.
The ThinPrint Engine 10 is now available. User licenses start at $18.85.
