Mosaik Solutions and InfoVista Partner to Enable Mobile Operators to Better Monetize Network Coverage

Partnership bridges the gap between engineering and marketing activities through innovative use of automated network coverage maps and geospatial analytics

Memphis, Tenn. – June 24, 2014 – Mosaik Solutions, the global source for geospatial network intelligence, today announced a partnership with InfoVista, the global leader of IP and RF planning, service assurance and network optimization software solutions. This partnership will provide new ways for mobile operators to reduce subscriber churn and monetize their networks.

Poor mobile network performance and coverage are the primary reasons for subscriber churn. To optimize customer satisfaction, reduce churn and increase revenue, it is critical for mobile operators to ensure best-in-class quality of experience (QoE) throughout their mobile networks. The partnership between Mosaik Solutions and Infovista enables them to meet this goal by streamlining the use of mobile network engineering data, such as coverage maps, in their sales and marketing activities, all combined in one solution.

This is possible by combining the mobile network intelligence and strategic decision-making capabilities of Mosaik’s cloud-based interactive mapping platform, MapELEMENTS® with the RF network modeling capabilities of InfoVista’s real-time coverage map production solution, Mentum Fusion. Additionally, the partnership will enable mobile operators to be more proactive in their quest to limit churn by helping executives, marketers, engineers and GIS analysts tackle marketing programs, customer care programs, competitive network planning and other strategic growth initiatives.

“By combining Mosaik’s and InfoVista’s strengths, we’re bringing new opportunities to mobile operators that empower them to make more strategic business decisions,” said Chip Strange, vice president of products and technology, Mosaik Solutions. “This partnership not only provides the right solutions and resources to help mobile operators improve efficiency, but also achieve growth in the market.”

“Enabling mobile operators’ sales and marketing organizations to leverage mobile network planning and network optimization data creates a valuable opportunity for mobile operators to further reduce churn, increase revenues and attract new subscribers,” said Bernard Breton, SVP, Americas & APAC sales and chief marketing officer, InfoVista. “Our partnership with Mosaik Solutions is a perfect example of how our solutions can interoperate with business-critical sales and marketing applications of mobile operators, helping them further monetize their networks.”

Cortado Brings Enterprise Mobility to a New Level, Focusing on Impressive Productivity Gains

The new Cortado Corporate Server 7.2 improves mobile teamwork and collaboration with native iOS printing, enhanced file sharing and intelligent file storage for teams

(BERLIN/DENVER, June 11, 2014) Cortado releases a new version of its enterprise mobility solution Cortado Corporate Server. The Windows-based software is securely installed on premise in the corporate network. The clear focus of version 7.2 is on the user, their experience, vastly improved collaboration and productivity. To achieve this, proven features like file sharing and mobile printing have been significantly enhanced and new features introduced like Smart Filing, which ensures intelligent file storage for teams.

While enterprise mobility for many companies originally focused on the basic management of devices by IT, increasingly, users and mobile collaboration have shifted into focus. For example, Gartner’s Monica Basso writes in her research note titled Mobile Collaboration will Drive Innovation in Your Workplace from August 2013, “Enterprise collaboration planners should take a user-centric approach upfront, eliciting specific requirements in terms of mobility, business tasks and collaboration. The focus must be on simplicity and usability.”

The new version 7.2 of Cortado Corporate Server firmly places the focus on flawless, user-oriented productivity and mobile collaboration features.

Among the highlights are full iOS printing support, for example using Microsoft’s new Office for iPad suite that now also supports AirPrint. Even for those apps that don’t support native iOS printing, users can still print with the Open In feature. Thanks to Cortado Corporate Server’s Active Directory integration, iPad or iPhone users have exactly the same list of printers available, which they have on their desktop.

Patent-pending Smart Filing technology enables intelligent filing in order to avoid version conflicts, multiple copies of files and saving to incorrect locations. Instead, files are automatically saved right back to the corporate network, in the right place, without any version conflicts and without any danger of loss of older versions.

To simplify file sharing as much as possible among teams with both internal and external employees and to also ensure the highest levels of security, Cortado Corporate Server offers Smart Sharing, which offers situation-based file sharing. If users address a recipient outside the company, a copy of the file is automatically created in the cloud. The corporate network with the original file remains inaccessible, and secure, from the outside.

A further important factor for teamwork: Microsoft SharePoint can now be fully integrated as a network drive, allowing users to access it just like any other file system. This significantly simplifies teamwork among employees using different mobile platforms.

For IT departments, Cortado Corporate Server 7.2 also includes a range of further improvements. For example, the Fast Enrollment feature allows mobile devices to be fully integrated into the corporate IT environment by simply scanning a QR code. Knowledge of the user’s personal password is not even necessary to configure all certificates, the mobile device management (MDM) profile and the Cortado Client on the mobile device.

“From our experience, productive integration of mobile devices succeeds best when user demands for simplicity and practicality are taken into consideration from the outset – especially for mixed mobile/non-mobile and internal/external teams,” said Kristin Montag, product manager, Cortado Corporate Server. “In this respect, Cortado Corporate Server is by far the most mature solution on the market.”
