Client satisfaction always comes first, no matter the industry. For TV and service providers, delivering what customers want includes video offerings beyond traditional linear TV. In order to achieve this, companies have one of two options. Either upgrade their IP delivery network, or slowly incorporate one change at a time– whether it’s streaming to new devices, increasing content offerings, or managing a growing subscriber base.
Cincinnati Bell relied on Edgeware to tackle all expansion plans at once. With Edgeware’s Video Consolidation Platform (VCP), the company delivers advanced network-based VOD and time-shift services, including catch-up and start-over TV to both set-top boxes (STB) and the latest generation multiscreen devices from a single, consolidated platform.
Edgeware’s VCP offers several other unique benefits, including:
- Lowering operational and capital expenses associated with networks and equipment, maintenance, power consumption, and the required physical space.
- Infinite scalability to support rapid increase in the traffic from new services without re-architecture or complex upgrades.

Android is the leading operating system in enterprises, accounting for 65% of business smartphones and 52% of tablets in Q2 (Strategy Analytics). Despite this prevalence, there’s a very basic and common task enterprises haven’t optimized for Android.
Printing with Android requires downloading a third-party app and reverting to the public cloud. This makes printing complex, time-consuming and unsecure. IT admins need a means to seamlessly enable and assign Android users to print directly to any network printer, allowing print jobs to stay securely on-premise behind the company firewall.
This is possible with leading enterprise mobility solution Cortado Corporate Server. With Androids print system integrated in the solution, Cortado Corporate enhances security and productivity for today’s enterprises.

Integration of Android’s print system strengthens Cortado Corporate Server’s position as the leading productivity-enhancing enterprise mobility solution
(DENVER, October 28, 2015) Cortado Mobile Solutions today extends the productivity features of its enterprise mobility solution Cortado Corporate Server with support of Android Print. For the first time, Android users can print documents directly to network printers in the enterprise without having to revert to a public cloud, such as Google Cloud Print. Documents stay fully SSL-encrypted from the device to the printer.
Cortado Corporate Server is the leading enterprise mobility solution when it comes to productivity. Without the use of additional apps, Cortado Corporate Server has offered fully integrated, secure access to documents in the enterprise, as well as mobile printing for iPhones and iPads for a number of years. The next productivity milestone is mobile printing with Android smartphones and tablets to network printers.
This is made possible by integrating Android Print. By embedding Android’s print system within Cortado Corporate Server, users can print to any printer assigned to them by their administrator. Printing works with any Android smartphone or tablet, and from any app with an integrated print function. To start a print job, the user doesn’t even have to be in the office. This makes it possible, for example, to initiate a print job while on the way to work to save time. With SSL-encryption, print jobs stay secure all the way from the mobile device to the printer. Furthermore, print jobs are not processed via the public cloud, but on-premise within the company and behind its secure firewall.
Additionally, Personal Printing technology, which is integrated into Cortado Corporate Server, can also be used. This ensures that printing only starts once the user authenticates via a QR-code scan with their mobile device at a printer of their choice. This prevents printouts and sensitive data from falling into the wrong hands.
“We are proud to expand our already unique productivity features to now include secure, mobile network printing for Android devices. This offers real added value and productivity gains, especially in BYOD and CYOD contexts where Android devices are most often used,” said Armin Lungwitz, CIO at Cortado Mobile Solutions. “Our productivity features are an integral, fundamental element of Cortado Corporate Server, and unlike other solutions, do not require third-party solutions from other suppliers.”

With one intuitive platform for all sales and account management needs, PipelineDeals aligns SunX Solar’s marketing and sales efforts, saving the company $20,000 in direct annual marketing costs alone. PipelineDeals’ sale acceleration offering, Accelerator, delivers engagement and account measurement data that helps SunX Solar gain a true sense of the opportunities and priorities in the sales pipeline. This includes trackable, bulk email with real-time updates on which messages and attachments are opened and when.
“We realized quickly that our old sales process was hindering our growth, but we couldn’t justify the major up-front investment and technical know-how most sales productivity software required,” said Samantha Biagi, partner, SunX Solar. “PipelineDeals was the only tool to fit the bill. For the first time, everyone on our team is on the same page, allowing us to work seamlessly and grow as a company.”
SunX Solar previously used paper service sheets and spreadsheets to track sales projects. Providing staff with mobile devices armed with PipelineDeals’ cloud-based platform eliminated the hassles of transporting and version control of these documents. Staff has instant access to the most current data at their fingertips to always know the best actions to take and when. PipelineDeals is easily customized to manage and monitor exactly what SunX Solar needs to maintain and increase its sales momentum.
“PipelineDeals was built from the ground up with a goal of growing sales teams,” said JP Werlin, CEO and founder of PipelineDeals. “SunX Solar is a great example of how we have built a solution to optimize the entire sales process for the benefit of both the individual salesperson and the company.”
