Handling Denmark’s handball TV explosion

Every nation has a soft spot for a particular sport. Think about it – Americans have football, the British have soccer, and Venezuelans have baseball. In Denmark, the preferred sport is handball.

Denmark’s TV 2, a state-owned broadcaster, wanted to meet viewers’ increasing demand for live, high quality broadcasts of handball matches. The issue: they were working with obsolete technology, legacy interfaces and limited network capacity. To overcome this, TV 2 looked to Net Insight.

Net Insight’s unique approach to remote production enabled TV 2 to produce parallel broadcasts of different handball arenas from a single central location. The result was more content, at a higher quality while reducing CAPEX and OPEX by using fewer resources.
