More Than Just Cloud Storage – Cortado Takes The Lead With Its Professional Web App
With a newly developed web app, Cortado Workplace sets new standards for online file management
DENVER, July 16, 2014 – Cortado, provider of the free productivity app Cortado Workplace, now enables users to not only have cloud storage, but also to have easier control of their saved files. In addition to apps for iOS and Android, the Cortado Workplace web app has been completely revised for seamless access via a browser. This offers unprecedented levels of ease-of-use for new users and impressive productivity functions for power users.
Users of cloud storage continue to face challenges managing their files saved online via mobile devices or desktops. The latest version of Cortado Workplace overcomes these challenges. Just as with local file management on their desktops, users benefit from device and cross-platform support of features, such as the drag & drop function, along with numerous shortcuts. Frequently used folders can be marked as Favorites for quick access. Additionally, proven Cortado Workplace features, such as simple and secure sharing of documents, renaming or moving files and printing to any printer on a wireless network, have all been enhanced.
Based on the feedback from numerous Cortado Workplace users, Cortado has completely revised the HTML5-based web app of its cloud storage service and tailored it to the look and feel of its beautifully designed iOS app. This new and highly intuitive design simplifies file management to an extent that even users completely unfamiliar with the app instantly know how to use it. Folders with frequently used files can be marked as Favorites, allowing unparalleled rapid access. Another aspect is that folders can be copied via the drag-and-drop function to the user’s personalized cloud storage folders. Important documents are at the user’s disposal in the cloud even faster and can be viewed and edited with iPhones, iPads, Android devices, or any other device with a web browser.
Additionally, shortcuts similar to those seen in Windows, such as copy & paste, are available for even faster management of online files. Last but not least, Cortado has increased its free cloud storage space to an impressive 10 GB.
“With the new web app, Cortado shows once again how strongly we believe in consumerization by offering far more than just cloud storage. We provide a free, professional tool that includes key aspects of our paid enterprise solution, Cortado Corporate Server, for consumer use,” said Carsten Mickeleit, Cortado CEO. “This is just the beginning for users. In the coming months, Cortado will make groundbreaking changes to productivity – for both individual users as well as entire teams.”
