(LAS VEGAS – NAB 2015 booth SU4321) – At NAB 2015, Net Insight, a leading provider of efficient and scalable transport solutions for media, IP and broadcast networks, will demonstrate the company’s unique capabilities in reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) through simplifying network complexities.
Net Insight will demonstrate how its Nimbra platform meets media network challenges by providing operational advantages and significant cost savings over media network lifecycles, through making tasks such as engineering, service provisioning and troubleshooting simpler. In addition, Net Insight will provide relevant numbers to quantify why and how its solution is addressing the problem of network complexity, which enables broadcasters and media operators to introduce new services that can impact revenue in a positive way.
Visit Net Insight at booth #SU4321 to see and hear about the company’s new products and solutions, see the demos and speak with executives, and learn more about Net Insight’s offerings including:
- Live 4K video transport with The Switch
Net Insight will showcase a live 4K video transport demo together with The Switch where contribution-quality JPEG2000-compressed 4K content will be transported through The Switch’s Nimbra-powered media network. Net Insight will also showcase the company’s Nimbra 640 solution with integrated JPEG2000 for visually lossless compression making migration to cost-efficient 4K transport viable today.
- Enabling 4K linear workflows over 1GE and 10GE links – Nimbra OT 100
The demand for greater bandwidth is growing by the second. This puts video content providers, broadcasters and media service operators under more pressure than ever to increase transport capacity while keeping capital and operating expenses down. In the race to deliver carrier-grade, high-end network solutions, the Nimbra OT 100 solution incorporates proven Net Insight technology to increase streaming capacity from existing 10G solutions to 40G or up to 100G easily and economically. Requiring minimal investment to increased spectral efficiency this one-box solution seamlessly integrates into multiple network configurations, opening up new revenue streams including new higher speed Ethernet and Open Transport Network (OTN) services that keep network providers ahead of the competition…
- Customer provisioned networks
Net Insight will demo, alongside partner ScheduALL, how its media transport solution offers broadcasters and content owners the opportunity to self-provision media services in advance, from one location to another, and how operational costs can be lowered while providing the unique flexibility, control and pay-per-minute services that broadcasters expect.
The introduction of customer self-provisioning is a truly innovative step forward, enabling network services to be automated, on-demand and assured, driven by occasional use behavior that requires a more flexible option than the static networks available today.
- High-quality video over the Internet – Joint demo with Tata Communications using The Nimbra VA 200 Series for Integrated Multistream Encoding/Decoding and Transport
Net Insight will demonstrate its award-winning Nimbra VA 200 series, which allows for the expansion of news gathering operations using the Internet, and offers sports broadcasters and over-the-top (OTT)-providers the opportunity to create and cover more content in an easy, reliable and cost-effective way. The company will show how its Nimbra VA 200 products, can generate new revenue streams, increase subscriber numbers, and lower operational costs.
As a proof point, Net Insight will show how TATA Communications’ Video Connect network, powered by the Nimbra VA platform, is able to reliably provide contribution and distribution over the Internet by leveraging the award-winning retransmission properties of the Nimbra VA 210 platform enabling the company to offer cost-effective access for niche content contribution.
In addition, Net Insight will discuss how the simple configuration features of its Nimbra VA 220 solution, with a built-in encoder, allows on-site personnel to quickly and cost-effectively connect to cameras for compression, conversion and transport of high-quality live content across any type of network in the absence of reliable bandwidth.
- Remote production and workflows
As Net Insight continues to drive the trend towards remote workflow in production environments through transport solutions that deliver real-time, low-latency content with 100 percent quality of service (QoS), the company will discuss its most recent successes in the remote production workflows space, and highlight its most significant deployments that point to this as a continuing trend, highlighting the key drivers impacting the growth of this production method for live events.
- Leadership in Digital Terrestrial TV (DTT)
Net Insight will also show how it has successfully forged an industry trust for delivering DTT networks, as the company remains strong in this space, as it continues to win international orders for national DTT implementations. The company has more than 30 DTT customer wins under its belt, from all regions around the world, including implementing the world’s first all-IP DVB-T2 network for Swedish national media operator Teracom AB.
