Shoreline supports U.S. EMV migration with card personalization and SaaS picture services
Austin, September 22, 2014 – Shoreline, a Gemalto company, is reinforcing its portfolio of personalization services to offer the AllAboutMe picture card solution to accompany the ramp-up of EMV migration in the U.S. Leveraging the card customization in software-as-a-service (SaaS) mode from Gemalto, Shoreline will provide a one-stop service for personalization and order fulfillment in the region. The solution, which offers cardholders abilities to interactively customize their card designs has already achieved average increases of 54% in card activation and 68% in card usage through 230 successful deployments worldwide.
According to Aite Group, 70% of credit cards and 41% of debit cards in the U.S. will be EMV enabled by end of 2015. Addressing this major transition, Shoreline’s AllAboutMe is now a complete end-to-end offer tailored to US customers’ needs and delivered right to their doorsteps. Its ease of deployment and user friendly approach makes it a simple solution for financial institutions to enhance customer engagement and brand awareness.
Financial institutions deploying AllAboutMe tap into the important social and viral marketing channels by easily introducing ways for customers to share their card creations online. Existing deployments suggest every time a bank customer posts their card image on popular social channels, an average of 3.5 people click the link that directs them to the bank site where they can design a card of their own. The tool, which allows the cardholder to choose from a financial institution’s image library or use a personal picture, also incorporates an automated image checking to protect the bank’s image before final acceptance.
